Process For Private Hair Drug Test Collection
Our at-home hair collection process is very simple. If you are ready to purchase your at-home hair drug test simply call customer service. We always have knowledgeable and friendly customer service agents to help you through the registration process. We can help you decide what hair test panel and hair detection time best suits your situation. Once your registration and payment are made we will send out your hair collection kit. This includes directions on how to best collect your hair sample. We also include a federal express airbill to get your sample to the lab right away. Once you have completed the sample collection you can drop it at any federal express drop off location. We will call you and then email your hair test results usually within 3 – 5 business days.
The Hair Sample Requirements For At-Home Hair Collection
Let’s start with two common scenarios we get. First, you cannot drop off an already collected hair sample at a local lab. They cannot accept it without breaking chain of custody protocol such as needing to check identification before collecting the sample. Second, despite what you may have seen on your favorite crime show, we cannot complete a hair test on one strand of hair! If your at-home collection is being collected from the head we will need about 90 to 120 strands. This is about as thick as a pencil. The desired length is 1 ½ inches. If you plan to look back beyond the standard 90 days we will need more head hair length. For extended detection times you can check length requirements on the appropriate pages for your desired time frame, 6-Month Hair Follicle Drug Test, 9-Month Hair Test – Fast Results, 12-Month Hair Drug Test. A head hair collection is always the preferred hair sample. We will accept a body hair sample which is then more of a quantity issue and not a length issue. For body hair samples we will need the quantity of about a cotton ball. For 10 panel hair tests or larger, we will need about twice these required amounts. Finally, while it is not ideal, we will allow alternative hair samples, such as hair samples obtained from a hairbrush or bathroom sink. It is not ideal because you are submitting various different lengths and therefore the detection time is unknown.
