I Need a 5 Panel Fingernail Drug Test

Question:

I need a 5 panel fingernail drug test. My husband and I are worried about my teenage daughter. She has been sneaking out and getting bad grades. I gather some of her hair from the shower and completed a 5 panel self hair test. The hair test came out negative which is weird because I  know she is a marijuana smoker.

I am most worried about her possible cocaine use. She is up all night on the weekends and her friends that she hangs out with seem pretty off. To top it off she recently cut her hair very short. She might have an inch if that. Strange coincidence right? Of course I don’t believe her reasoning was centered around style. My husband is convinced a fingernail test would be better. I don’t see much information online about fingernail testing. Do you guys offer and have any background on fingernail testing? Will you please let me know if this will be more accurate?

Answer:

Hi Janet,

We can definitely get you set up with a 5 panel fingernail drug test. Fingernail drug test are great alternatives to hair for several reasons. First, whereas most hair test require the hair to be at least a inch and a half long, fingernail testing can detect 3-6 months with much less. Drugs are incorporated at the point of formation for the nail which is in the germinal matrix. As the nail grows outward it also grows in thickness.5 Panel Fingernail Drug test  So, once the nail reaches the fingertip it has been growing across the nail bed for 3 to 6 months. The time frame really depend on the health of the individual. So, an individual with healthy fast growing nails is going to fall closer to the 3 month range.

Nail keratin is four times thicker than hair so it captures more  biomarkers. Toenails and fingernails can not be mixed as their detection times are often different. Toenails are much thick than fingernails so they capture a different amount of biomarkers and have been said to have a detection time of up to 14 months. For this test, the collector will be gathering about 10 or more nail clippings. For more information please contact our office and we will be happy go into further detail.
