Hair Drug Tests (Lab Collection)
AMH Nationwide uses only the industry leaders for our hair drug testing program. Since 2004, we have provided safe, accurate, and affordable hair drug testing to countless clients. You may notice that we offer lab-based hair sample collections and also anonymous at-home hair collections. Hair samples collected at the lab as well as hair samples collected from home are always tested by a state-of-the-art, fully licensed, and accredited testing facility. In addition, all testing is not considered complete without all necessary confirmation testing by GCMS technology. If you need a hair drug test for court, child custody, divorce, employment-related, or personal use, and you need your name on it, you will have to be collected at one of our labs. At-home hair drug test samples are labeled as anonymous donors since we cannot prove where the sample was collected from.
Hair Drug Test Collections (Lab Collection) Requirements
The Hair Sample.
Standard hair drug tests are ideally collected on head hair that is at least 1 ½ inches long, which is where the standard 90 day look back is based on. However, we do provide hair drug tests that can be performed on body hair and shorter head hair. A head hair sample will require at least 90 to 120 strands of head hair, or the thickness of about a pencil. A body hair collection is dependent on quantity, not length, and will require at least a cotton ball sized quantity. If you need a panel larger than a standard 5-panel, we may need more quantity. If you do not have the required amount of hair but still need an extended detection time, we can provide a nail drug test with a look back of an estimated 3-6 months or even longer for a toenail collection! If you have been court ordered to perform a hair test, but you do not meet the standard requirements, don’t worry, we have options. Please call customer service right away.
Lab Orders For Hair Drug Tests.
You may find that you can easily go online to make an appointment at LabCorp, Quest Diagnostics, and other hair collection sites, but they will still require a lab order. Don’t worry, we have you covered! You can obtain a lab order very quickly by calling customer service. Court orders are not required for a lab order. While you may have a court order or be waiting for a court order to be completed, we do not need the court order to provide the lab order for your hair drug test.
Identification Needed For Hair Drug Tests.
Hair drug tests that are collected at the lab will require a current state-issued picture ID that matches your name, appearance, and lab order. A state-issued driver’s license, state ID or passport are all acceptable forms of identification for drug testing.
Payment And Cost For Hair Drug Testing.
We require payment for your lab test at the time of registration. Payments can be made by credit or debit card. The cost for your hair drug test will vary depending on which hair panel you need, what drugs need to be included on the panel, how far back you are needing to test, and the lab locations that are near you.
You can find more information about our special request hair drug tests on our test menu or by calling customer service. These include:
-environmental exposure to drugs designed to test a child for exposure to drugs. (hair test for child protective services, test your elderly loved one for drug exposure)
-extended hair detection times (6-month hair drug test, 9-month hair drug test, and 1-year hair drug test
-shortened detection times (30-day hair drug test, 60-day hair drug test)
-one-panel hair drug tests (if you are trying to contest a false positive drug test you might choose a hair drug test only testing for that one particular substance you have been accused of using. It may be cheaper too! We can provide a one-panel for many of the drug tests that we have listed below.
