Drugs and drug classification:

Test arrangements and appointments:

Appointments are not necessary; lab orders for the 30–day hair follicle test collections may require special test arrangements, same–day collections are potentially possible; however, we may need to mail out lab orders, so we highly encourage calling customer support and providing advance notice ASAP. 

Result turnaround time:

Results take anywhere from 1 and 7 business days but typically average 3 to 5 business days. They sometimes can take 1 or 2 extra business days. 

Specimen:

To ensure that the lab has enough hair, we recommend collecting 3 times the usual amount of hair (90 to 120 strands of head hair) that is also at least a ½ inch long.  Body hair collections cannot be used for the 30–day hair follicle drug test.

Detection time:

30–day hair follicle test has a detection time of roughly 30–days from approximate usage. (Please note: Segmented tests are looking at an estimated time frame and cannot determine exact dates of when usage may have occurred. Please contact customer support for further information.)

For the 30–day hair follicle test, the pricing may vary dependent on which testing locations are currently accessible in your area; if you choose a multiple segments, realize that each segment is treated and charged like a brand new test, you must call our customer support for an estimate. However, our test prices are typically the most affordable in the area, (Please note: All prices include any necessary confirmation testing and medical review of any possible prescriptions.) 

Methodology:

EIA (homogenous) or Elisa (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) (heterogeneous)  screening technology, GCMS (Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry) confirmation technology of non-negative presumptive positives.

Clinical applications:

The 30–day hair follicle test offers a slightly extended detection time when compared to drug testing by urine, blood, and oral swab, useful when a hair is required but specimen donor has very short head hair and no body hair, useful when hair test is required but does not have to go back the standard 90 days, allows for observed hair collection when adulteration of urine sample is suspected, used to clarify confusing or conflicting results for pre-employment, pain management and probation urine drug test results, court ordered hair drug testing, hair drug testing for child custody and divorce, personal and private testing via laboratory collection or private at-home self collection, testing for child or loved one, post rehab testing, difficult or impossible to adulterant.
