FAQ

Is segmented hair follicle testing available for the 13-panel hair test?

A segmented hair follicle test simply refers to the various time frames in which the hair sample is ordered. The standard time frame is an estimated 90 days. For some of our panels we have the option of ordering additional time segments in 90 days increments and 30 day increments. If you need to test even further than the 90 days we can order 6 month, 9 month, and even a 1 year drug test. If you need to test a shorter amount of time, or if your hair is simply too short for a 90 day test we can order in 30 day test increments. Please note, a shorter time frame will be noted on your test results. The hair follicle test panels that can be ordered with alternative segmented time frames are the 5 panel, 5 panel plus expanded prescription opiates, 7 panel, 10 panel, 13 panel, and 17 panel.

I am afraid my son is doing drugs but I don’t know which drugs so I want a drug test that checks for everything. Do you offer that?

As you can imagine, we often get calls from concerned parents and family members. They are concerned their child or loved one is using drugs due to recent behavioral changes. While they suspect drug abuse, often they do not know what specific drugs are being used. We get a lot of comments like, “I want to test for all drugs” or I want a “drug test for everything.” There isn’t a way to test for every drug out there, but a good comprehensive test such as a 13, 15, or 17 panel hair drug test will cover any likely, more realistic concerns. We have also recently added an 18 panel hair drug test to include testing for kratom and a 19 panel hair drug test to include testing for gabapentin.

Do you offer a hair follicle test panel to include fentanyl?

Fentanyl is classified as a controlled substance by the DEA. It is being used on the street as an additive to increase the potency of other drugs. Fentanyl is an extremely potent synthetic opiate with a high potential for overdose and has recently been linked to multiple overdose deaths in the United States. A hair test for fentanyl can be provided through one of our specialty labs for a pretty reasonable cost either in a 13 panel drug screen hair test or 14 panel hair test or higher. Omega laboratories provides a 13 panel or 17 panel to include fentanyl and norfentanyl, which can be collected at a lab or from home as an anonymous sample. USDTL (United States Drug Testing Laboratory) offers a 14 panel and higher to include acetyl fentanyl, acetyl norfentanyl, alfentanil, fentanyl, norfentanyl. Please call customer service to obtain the lab order you will need to get this done.
